New Ford Ka Spotted as Black and White Editions Launched

3 years ago          Leave your thoughts

The next-generation Ford Ka has been spotted in Britain for the first time, seemingly being test-driven on the M11. As it turns out, Ford has been putting the model through its paces for some time – we just didn't know about it. Interestingly the sighting coincides with the launch of the new Ford Ka Black and White editions. A car-enthusiast spied the vehicle which is apparently the first undisguised sighting of the new Ka in the UK. The main news is that is remains largely unchanged from the 2013 concept though looks a little longer and wider than its predecessor. It…

Rowan Atkinson McLaren F1 selling for £10 million

3 years ago          Leave your thoughts

The Rowan Atkinson McLaren F1 supercar is for sale at around £10 million.  The comedy actor is ending his rollercoaster relationship with his dark purple supercar having done just 41,000 miles in the vehicle and admits clocking up the majority limited mileage by going to the shops or doing the school run. Still, the ride hasn't always been so comfortable for the Mr Bean actor and a serious crash in Haddon, Cambridgeshire in 2011 left his insurance company shelling out nearly £1 million in repairs – the highest ever recorded in Britain at the time. Previously, he had been involved in a low-speed…

The MGC – a collectable legend or too close to the MGB?

3 years ago          Leave your thoughts

With a limited production run of only two years, the MGC was introduced to take over the flagging sales of the Austin Healey. Based on the still highly successful MGB, it introduced a straight six 3.0 litre engine to combine with the monocoque shell. Taking on the Healey, was a big ask, and some believed the additional weight did not really provide much benefit for the additional power, and that the standard 1800cc MGB was much better weighted and handling. The interior was the same as in the MGB and that is maybe one of the problems with the MGC,…

New Jaguar SUV revealed to be the 4×4 F-pace

3 years ago          Leave your thoughts

Recently revealed the new Jaguar SUV will be called the F-Pace. Billed as the “ultimate practical sports car” and based on the award winning Jaguar C-X17 Concept vehicle which was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013, Jaguar are soon to launch the 4x4 F-pace crossover.  Of course, looking at the Jaguar site doesn’t really give you a view of what it looks like, more a clever urban image to relate to which some marketing executive or advertising agency is probably very proud of, but the C-X17 has given a strong indication. With running gear using Range Rover technology…

Mini Superleggera Vision Concept

3 years ago          Leave your thoughts

With a hint that Mini are taking seriously their Mini Superleggera Vision concept, does this mark them taking their retro-nostalgia brand to the obvious next place. The question really isn't why they have recognised the classic small two seater  as an opportunity, but why it has taken them so long.  By adding more doors Mini has gradually got bigger and further away from the original concept in an attempt to appeal to a broader market, and outside of some quirky thoughts about using the mini platform for a two seat convertible, this finally looks like a stylish concept that could…
