2016 Jeep Concepts Jeep Crew Chief 715

Who could fail to be impressed with the seven formidable new 2016 Jeep Concepts, especially the Jeep Crew Chief 715. Created by a team of dedicated, passionate engineers using currently available Mopar and Jeep performance parts, these have been released to celebrate Jeep’s 75th anniversary. They will be showcased as part of the 50th running of the Jeep Safari on the challenging trails of Moab, Utah, this Easter.

Leading the seven is the Jeep Crew Chief 715 concept vehicle. Designed as a salute to the almost legendary Jeep military service vehicles, in particular the Kaiser M715. Large and impressive, it is built on a modern platform with additional doors and seats for practically. It manages to stay close to its military heritage with soft top construction and pick up bed, offsetting its currently available component base. The modern interior features leather seats with canvas inserts, ultra-cool aircraft-inspired switches. There is also a media console right next to a navigational compass, to really impress passengers.

The “Tactical Green” paint scheme, including both winch equipped steel bumpers and 5-foot cargo bed, offsets the dark 20-inch beadlock wheels and 40-inch NDT military tires, providing an intimidating stance. The Crew Chief 715 is powered by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 engine through a five-speed automatic transmission.

Possibly not the most practical vehicle for running down to the shops, but frankly, who cares, and of course that depends on how far those shops are across the desert where the Jeep Crew Chief 715 will find its natural home.
